I made the Halloween rag garland last year. It stretches from one side of the room to the other. I hung pictures of my nieces and nephews in their costumes.


I am in love with mums this year. It is huge and was only 9.95!



I love all things fall....I just wish I had more time
(and money) to decorate more.

cupcakes!

I tried decorating cupcakes today. The first attempt was the funny looking supposed to be bulldog. I think he looks like a mutant dog of some sort :) He's so ugly, he's cute!

I thought these turned out a lot better then the first. I made these cute little kids for my niece and nephew. Instead of doing all of the chores around the house today...I played with cake and candy. Sounds like a good day to me. Only now...the laundry, sweeping, and other chores get to be finished on Monday.

My Amazing Creative Day!

Boy! I have not posted anything on my blog in almost a year! Where has the time gone? My summer is speeding by at warp speed, and I wanted to feel like I accomplished something other then napping and facebook :)

I made three canvas today. Two for a friend for a house warming gift and one for my hubby. We just celebrated our 10th anniversary.





I love my memory jar from our vacation to Savannah. It has all the shells we found from the beach and a couple of pine cones. Now, I am thinking ...why have I not been doing this for every vacation! I will from here on out!

I am new to the blog world and really don't know anything about using the tools available to me...so please....hang in there with me... if you like my projects. I will try to post more as I continue to create this summer.

Fall Decorations

Here are my fall decorations. I love everything about fall! I wish I had time to make more decorations.

I've had this wheat stalk for many years. Might be time to retire it. Don't look at the dust :)

I made this garland last weekend. I thought it tured out cute! I have made 4 more since then. I want to make one for Christmas to hang Christmas cards from.

I painted this pail about 7 years ago. I have a picture of my niece in the bucket when she was 10 months old hagging on the garland.

The stockings were a new purchase this year. I thought they were great!

faux ivy

I created this blog to show off my decorating "disasters" that involve fake plants.
Faux flowers, mostly ivy is everywhere in my house! I am very guilty. The space looks so empty without it. Here are a few shots of the decorating no-no's.

It is on the bookshelf.It is over the fridge.

It is on the entertainment center.

It is also in the bathroom.

There are a few other spots, but I was too shamed to go on!
